They call me "Ms. Peak". . . but only for 33 more days!

"Ms. Peak", soon to be soon called Mrs. Holden!

My semester at Manhattan High School as Ms. Peak has flown by! I have been in Mrs. Karen Klein's Family and Consumer Sciences classroom for about 10 hours each week this semester. I help out in her 5th hour Early Childhood Development, 6th hour Science of Food, and 7th hour Human Development 3 days each week.

I've learned so much about classroom management, lesson planning, adolescent development in a large school, interpersonal relationships between students and fellow faculty members, and the importance of humility as an educator. My cooperating teacher, Karen Klein has wisdom beyond her years of teaching - I have learned SO many tips and tricks to teaching and maintaining a classroom that I cannot wait to put into action.

On December 30th, I will marry my best friend, Micah, and become Mrs. Holden!

Not too many days after that - on January 3rd - I will begin my semester student teaching at Riley County High School!

I will student teach with Ms. Shelby Muha at RCHS until March, and then I will trade with a classmate and finish my last 8 weeks of student teaching at Anthony Middle School here in Manhattan with Mrs. Alicia Pecenka.

Get excited to mold some young minds!
